The rainy season in Phnom Penh doesn’t have to mean staying indoors doing nothing. I’ve discovered that the city has plenty of indoor gems where you can enjoy, explore, and stay dry at the same time. Whether you’re with kids, friends, or just looking for a change of scenery, these spots are perfect for a rainy-day adventure.
If culture sparks your interest, start with the Bophana Center. This cultural hub preserves Cambodia’s audiovisual heritage and frequently hosts film screenings and exhibitions that tell powerful stories. Nearby, Meta House and the Institut Français du Cambodge (IFC) host engaging art exhibitions and film screenings, making each visit feel inspiring. For a deeper dive into Cambodian creativity, the Reyum Institute is a must-see for contemporary and traditional art.

When you’re in the mood to unwind, head to Java Creative Café in Toul Kork, where great coffee is paired with ever-changing art displays. This spot is perfect to chat with friends, study, or simply relax while the rain pours outside.

And if you’d rather move than sit still, Phnom Climb is the ultimate indoor adventure. With climbing walls for all levels, it’s a fun way to stay active, beat stress, and challenge yourself, rain or shine.
